Default How Poison Damage Works! - (Ellmist)

OK! SO I ran some test runs!

Here is everything I used: ( All Hero Editor Created )


Character one:


Class: Bowazon
Skills: None
Stats: All Base
Gear: None save a 1-2 Damage Bow
Life: 1,000


Character Two:


Class: Sorceress
Skills: None
Stats: All Base
Gear: None at all
Life: 1,000



Step one:


Character 2 created a TCP/IP game and stepped outside
Character one had a 100 damage over 20 second SC created.
Character one attacks Character 2 ONCE.

Results:

Character 2 took 100 damage at 5 damage a second.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Character 1 Attacks Character 2 TWICE.

Results:

Character 2 takes 150 damage at 7.5 damage a second.

Step 2:

Character 1 is Equipped with a second 100 damage over 20 second SC
Character 1 Attacks Character 2 ONCE

Results:

Character 2 takes 200 damage at 10 damage a second,
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Character 1 attacks Character 2 TWICE

Results:

Character 2 takes 300 Damage at 15 damage a second,




That’s interesting, that means if the person is ALREADY poisoned, then they only take 1/2 poison damage, but over the same period of time... how odd lol. Now I am going to mix it up...starting fresh, no charms unless otherwise stated in the steps...





STEP ONE:


Character 1 is equipped with a 100 damage over 20 second charm
Character 1 is equipped with a 100 damage over 10 second charm
Character 1 Attacks Character 2 ONCE

Results:

Within the first 10 seconds, character 2 took 150 damage at 15 damage a second, within the remaining 10 seconds, character 2 took 50 damage at 5 damage per second.

Character 1 attacks Character 2 TWICE

Results:

Within the first 10 seconds char 2 took 225 damage at approx 22 to 23 damage a second. Within the remaining 10 seconds, character 2 took 75 damage at approx 8 damage per second.




So there you have it...pulses I knew I had it right, save one thing, I did not anticipate the 50% damage reduction when someone is already poisoned, that’s interesting and valuable information maybe reducing poison length is not as great and it might appear... I will be running tests with poison Nova, Poison Dagger, and other tests relating to this topic within the near future.


A Summery of this test is listed below:


Damage is dealt in pulses if used with multiple charms of different damage spreading over different periods of time. Example, if you have a 100 poison damage charm in 10 seconds and a 50 poison charm in 5 seconds, you will get the 100 poison charms damage in 5 seconds, ( 100/10=10*5=50) plus the 50 damage small charm in those 5 seconds, so within your first 5 seconds, you get 150 damage, the smaller charm is done, it has not more damage to add, the larger damage charm however, still has 50 damage to deal and 5 seconds to do it, therefore it will deal damage at 10 damage per second for 5 seconds.

All in all the pulse will be the following over 10 seconds:

20,20,20,20,20,10,10,10,10,10


Got it? If you attack twice your second shots damage will be cut by 50%, thus doing:

30,30,30,30,30,15,15,15,15,15

Thats if you attacked twice within the same second, and thats not really right, I'll be doing more reserch on the matter soon and I will fill you in. Good luck and I hope this information helps alot of you
