StarCraft II Patch Information

Below are the patches for StarCraft II. While StarCraft II will patch automatically using the Blizzard Downloader, the below files can be used if you'd prefer to download the patches directly. Please note that patch mirrors are not always available immediately, and the latest patch will always be available on the Blizzard Downloader. If you have issues running the Blizzard Downloader, please see the Blizzard Downloader Troubleshooting page.

Note:

• If you encounter any errors while applying the actual patch please check the patch troubleshooting page.
• By installing the latest patch all previous updates will also be installed.
• The full client can be downloaded by accessing your Battle.net Account Management. Simply login at http://us.battle.net, select "Account" in the top right corner, and then click your StarCraft II account. From there, you can download the full client for Mac or Windows.

Blizzard's downloader uses Torrents to download and distribute patches, this is how it's been really ever since WoW went live, and now SC2 uses that same method. If you're having trouble downloading patches I would suggest patience! Please also check any firewall/port/etc... type settings, for instance some networks that are public (Starbuck's, you're local campus, or other hotspots may block all torrents, in which case the downloader has to rely on plain-old http downloads, which CAN be slow if the servers are being slammed!)

Im having the same problem as you, when I launch the SC2 it comes a black screen and suddenly it appears a box who ask me if I want to dl the patch because it's available... I press yes and another time the same story...

If you find any mirror for the patch, please let me know as soon as possible please!

I might be late for this particular party but I used to have this frustrating problem during beta (if anyone can recall), and what fixed it was changing my windows 7 firewall settings to allow the blizzard downloader and to open the port# 3724-6119 under my router settings.

Trigger Type: Both (TCP/UDP)
Public Port : 6112
Public Type : Both (as well)

Am I the only one that find this to be a really cheap ass move? They're making hundreds of millions of dollars from the consumer, but they can't be bothered to host a patch server?

Sadly, that's exactly the mentality of the corporate world as a whole. I TOTALLY agree it is cheapass to the max, but it sorta falls under the conventional process of cutting costs (irrationally) on shit that infuriates the consumer.

Technically they do Nuts, however torrents is a great way to get the patch out to everyone quickly, because when the HTTP server is flooded, there's alternative ways to get the patch. You can turn P2P off and download directly from an HTTP source, but that is usually a lot slower especially during patch times.
