Default Georges Brassens rules, just fyi

More meaning in his lyrics than any rap, more virtuosity than any contemporary rock band, more longevity than any of your metal bands will ever have, and he's already dead for more than 25 years.

Guess it would suck not to speak anything but English and "conversational Spanish".

Georges Brassens is the best pretty much.

Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to greater danger. It works the same in any country.- Hermann Goering (1893 - 1946)

Antonio Carlos Jobim? The bossa nova dude?

They (partially) named the Rio de Janiero airport after him.

The Girl from Ipanema is memorial enough, though.

I did not know they name an airport after him. And yeah he's pretty awesome. My favorite tune by him would definetly be Waters of March.

Rock of course prides itself on a lack of virtuosity

No, versus more than English and basic Spanish.

You must have misunderstood - there's a monument somewhere, alright. The French don't build a monument for just about anything.
