The football season is still, unfortunately, a ways off. But registration for Fantasy Football has begun. Every year we have a fantasy football league, at least since I joined in 2002, and it is always great fun. I think I ran the first two or three, and then Mucha took over for a year or two, and then last year Erwin ran it for us. I want to run it again, so I will make one. But, this is only to gauge interest in a league. If we can get 10 people, then I will create the league. And only people who are seriously interested should say so. Every year someone says they don't have enough time to check there team once a week. It will be thru Yahoo, so you will need a yahoo account (but who doesn't).

Definitely interested. I usually do one or two on Yahoo and then two on NFL.com.

Of course I'm in as well. I can actually get into Fantasy Football. :) I suppose if anyone is interested as well, they could enter my own personal one as well. Traditionally I get around 8-10, so perhaps with a couple of BFers I could get that number higher there too.

Well, if the interest isn't enough for BF to create their own, why not just join mine? Last year I had 12 people only including one from BF. It's on Yahoo! as well:

Alright I decided to make one because I wanted to be in another league.

The date is fine, I'd actually prefer it pushed back a little more. After all, I have to do my obligatory crying about EMU Football before we do the FF Draft.

I'll definitely do FF. The draft time at 10:30 would be fine as long as you could try to not make it on Friday or Saturday.

and yeah i agree with nutcracker, i like to go out a lot and that weekend is guaranteed to be crazy since it's the first weekend of school for me...how about a draft sometime during the week at that time of night ?

You have to realize, many particpants (at least me, probly others) have school. Though it may not truely be late, some may go to bed early for different reasons.

I'm just pointing this out. I could probly do it on a weekday, or weekend, though. Honestly for me also it may be preferrable for weekday.

But of course, the biggest cocern is people.

Well I guess my post about the draft date change was lost so I will say it again: Sept. 2 at 10:45pm. The day before Labor Day, so class or work shouldn't have any affect on if you can attend or not. This is a good date and you all said Sunday, so I'm not changing it unless I am given a really good reason to change it. And partying doesn't count. .

Apparently, I must be the only person online who actually works on Sunday Nights. I find it especially ironic too considering that's the last Sunday I will be working before I cut back my hours considerably. Of course, I'll be at work until probably around 11:30-Midnight that night.

I move to push back the draft until 11:30-11:45 PM that night. Considering that you all seemed to agree that it is such a good day, what's an hour going to really do in a 8 team draft?

If not, I suppose I can let the computer win the league for me. :(

Well it's our own fault really, we really pissed him off when we egged a teacher's house one night (now dont give me shit for that one, he's a dink) and lots of us got caught drinking and shit. Plus a shitton didn't go to minicamp or manditory practices earlier in the month.

In an interesting note, I bet i get dallas defense...

I'm in 4 leagues... 1 hasn't drafted (this one), and in all the others i have them as my Defense. I took them in one league, autodraft got me with them in others...

But we need two more teams now. I don't want to go into a league with only 8 people. And in the past we had at least 12 teams. This sucks. No one cares anymore. :(
