How do you use APM? I downloaded it off infoceptor but I can't get it to work, I upload the replay and then nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

APM? wtf is that? If you want a program that shows your APM contact me and I'll send you one.

I got a problem called "war3chart" wich is all you need to have.

the one you get on infoceptor... it says 'upload replay' and when i do it nothing shows on the charts.

But if you got a better prog all the better, link it or whatever that would be great.

Really easy program to use. You just go to "open" and select they desired replay from your replay folder.

Lemme know if you got more questions.

Hmm. I'd say below 100 is shitty, 100-150 is avarage 150-200 is good and 200+ is pro

APM in WarCraft 3? Hah, you noobs! Auto-cast more, thanks!

He's an asshole, I tell you... :) Aye, the Chart series is a good one - it can tell you many things about the finer mechanical points of your gameplay.

I would say less then 70 is "shit" while 80-140 is average, and 150+ being good-to-pro.

Judging from some of the various replays I ran (not all mine) i'd say 100+is good and 70-100 is average.

Cause I was only averaging 80 :p

Pro's (I mean sponsored players) all have 200+ :)
Heck, I can reach 180 myself.

I don't think having 200+ is a requirement to be a pro.

um no mike =P

I personally have over 280 apm, and I have VAPM on, which means it's not spam.

But you have to remember I play around 15 minute games, so it's more condensed actions per minute.

And I can't see how you can be remotely decent at SC or WC3 without at least 150 APM, so I don't get that statement.

not to mention, Wc3 is a MICRO game, whereas SC actually requires BOTH [micro and macro]

macro > micro in war3...

and tbh 280 APM is spamming. No matter what. 150 APM is enough to be a decent/good war3 player aswell.

Warcraft has slower gameplay than Starcraft for example. APM is therefore less important.

What is important is planning and countering. Having a well balanced army. I try to have every unit available... That mostly works.

What also helps is knowing what units to attack with what units you have... For example, riflemen do extra damage vs huntress. There are ofcourse more examples.

Still, an army of 10 will rape an army of 30 when the army of 30 doesnt micro.

that is very contingent on the units lxm, i.e. 30 chims will rape 10 fiends with absolutely no micro.
