Basically, Toribash is a turn-based fighting game, where you manipulate the joints of your ragdoll to perform brutal kicks, punches, headbutts, and the tearing off of various limbs. This is done by extending or contracting the joints of the body parts in question, making them move and swing (and grab and tear limbs off).

It can be played single-player, multiplayer hotseat (as default, both ragdoll ninjas are controllable), or online with others (unfortunately, only with Linux - FOR NOW, THAT IS).

It's quite a task to get to grips with, but once you've got the hang of it you can do all sorts of neat stuff with it. And you can save the replays too, for later viewing.

Holy freaking hell that is addictive. I'm still miserable at it but it's so much fun planning a move and then seeing the random results. I only wish it would be easier to regain your balance. I set the max frames to over 1000 it wouldn't be so short, but after I pull off whatever I originally planned my ragdoll just ends up flipping around and landing on its head.

I know, it's hard to keep balance, especially in Multiplayer, because some servers disqualify you if you touch anything but your hands and feet on the ground.

Multiplayer is really challenging, because:
A. There's a timer before it automaticly plays your keyframes
B. You have no idea what the opponent might do

So, if you're too slow, the timer will run out, it'll go into real time, and the other guy will rip your arms off.

See if these replays can be unzipped into your replays folder. It'd be fun if BFers could exchange a few. Mine are still n00bish but in one of 'em, I pulled off the farthest head toss I've ever seen.

I can't do multiplayer (no linux), but is there any place you can download badass replays?
