As we all know, certain items grant skills that the user can use any time as if the skill actually belonged to them. Alot of these skills are paladin related (almost all of them). A runeword pops out at me when I looked down the list, kingslayer grants +1 to vengence.

Kingslayer
+30% Increased Attack Speed
+230-270% Enhanced Damage (varies)
-25% Target Defense
20% Bonus To Attack Rating
33% Chance of Crushing Blow
50% Chance of Open Wounds
+1 To Vengeance
Prevent Monster Heal
+10 To Strength
40% Extra Gold From Monsters

Looking at this, it looks like a pretty damn decent runeword, even without the +1 Vengeance. 33% CB for boss killing, 50% OW..., prevent monster heal? GG melee weapon. Not to mention the bonus AR.

Now, melee sorceresses are based arround elemental damage. This is because of the 3 skills located at the very end of your trees, called masteries. These multiply the total damage of all your skills and modifiers in place. For instance, with the dream helm lightning mastery can increase your damage from 1k to 4k pretty easily. Lemme try to piece together a useful skill list.

Theres a couple ways you can go with this build.

1. You can go energy shield, which requires (roughly) 40 points into energy shield and telekinesis.
2. You can go defensive with a cold shield and pump one to twenty and get some massive Defense rating.
3. You can go enchant and get a massive AR bonus with a fire damage bonus too. For the AR bonus, you only need to pump enchant, as warmth doesnt grant a bonus to AR.
4. Any combination of those.

For my build ill hybrid Enchant's AR bonus with Frozen Armor's Defensive bonus

20 Lightning Mastery
20 Cold Mastery
20 Fire Mastery
20 Frozen Armor
20 Enchant
10+ Frozen
1 teleport
1 warmth
1 telekinesis
1 static field
1 firebolt
1 fireball

Shiver Armor is a better choice.

Nah, Frozen is better because it actually stops enemies dead in their tracks. No cold armor does enough dmg to justify more than a few points anyways. I think the most any char of mine has is 5.

Secondly, Enchant is almost useless without Warmth, so drop the extra armor, put it into warmth.

Go with this gear for that thing:

Dream Helm
Eld'd Stormshield or Eld Eld Up'd Moser's Blessed
COH or NIG
Maras
Two BK
Dracs
Gores
Dungos

I think the best you can hope for on Vengeance is a 9-10 points, which backed with all of the masteries is vicious. I suggest making that RW in a phaseblade.

What about switching out the middle piece for Tyraels (a personal favorite ehh :)) due to the no strength requirement and decent defense mods.

Lol I went back and looked at the mods on that armor, they are of greater quality than 90% of the armor runewords. The only thing COH and nig have above this is +to skills.

I could not imagine an etheral version of this. Simply could not.

Oh and about my skill choice... The reason I pumped 20 into frozen is the frozen duration and the Defense modifier. The damage is pretty useless even when pumped full of synergies.

The Enchant points were for the AR bonus.

I know why you did what you did, but you want to go for the best all around. The defense doesn't matter as much to a sorc because of diminishing returns. Best option is warmth and few points in armor.

You got 3 tyraels, and they are all legit?

When you hit NL you are going to be filthy rich.

Yeah... but frozen is pretty useless on NM and Hell. They get frozen for what, half a second or less?

Shiver can actually help your defense more (ie: greater defense bonus).

I've seen people actually kill themselves on maxed out shiver armors/cold mastery before on one of those bear sorcs. Was kind of fucked up O_o

Leu, I added you on west if you want to help me rush this char through. I don't see the ability to solo with this char until about lvl 50-60 based on equip XD.

you're gonna need alot more hit recovery, but some charms should solve those problems.

Apparently the main problem with this char is that the fastest you can attack is 10fpa, which is terrible. However, you attack with MASSIVE amounts of damage and when it connects its basically a 1 hit KO on any special/normal monster.

So yeah, lots of hit recovery would be needed.
