Starcraft.org is Back Online!

Just wanted to mention that Starcraft.org has made a glorious return after nearly two years of being offline. There is so much you can do over there, from submitting your fanfics or fanart to even submitting desktop themes, it looks like they've streamlined the entire thing -- and from what I understand they've been testing, tweaking, and perfecting the backend, frontend, and everything in between. And really, all I've got to say is; "Hell, it's about time"!

and it's blue!!

Win a WoW Plushie!

Win a WoW Plushie!

Blizzard recently released two World of Warcraft plushies, one is a baby Wyvern, and the other is a baby Gryphon (representing the Horde and the Alliance respectively). These plushies also come with a code for an in-game version of the plushie. For some better photos that show some perspective check out WoW Insider's mini-gallery: http://www.wow.com/photos/gryphon-ha...-cub-plushies/

We decided to run a simple contest that is open to anyone for a chance to win one of these guys! All you have to do is explain why you should win one and whoever submits the best reason will win. Do you think you deserve one of these, Why? Do have an empty spot on your desk, bed, or bookcase? Show us! Be creative!

The contest will run until March 15th, then we'll gather up the "entries" and pick the best one (to be announced at the end of that week).

To enter this contest, simply leave a comment here explaining why you should win one of these awesome plushies! Feel free to post a screenshot of your lonely druid who wishes he had a baby brother wyvern, or your lonely Link plushie who wishes he had a baby gryphon friend! This contest is open to any current or future member of Blizzforums!

Congrats to our first winner!
Feb 10, 2010 - 7:40 PM

Congrats to our first winner!

So the deadline for our first "giveaway" has ended and through a super special secret method (googled random list ftw!) and the winner is Smoothware! We'll bug him shortly so he can get his address to Nuts and get his copy of Bioshock 2.

Thanks again to those who donated!

Stay tuned because we'll be running some more contests in the very near future that will be available to anyone!

Donate and Win Bioshock 2!?

Donate and Win Bioshock 2!?

We're now accepting donations. Upon confirmation of a donation, you will gain some cool features including elimination of ads, for a full list check out the Donation page.

UPDATE: Forgot to mention that this is the Xbox 360 version of Bioshock 2!

Head Asplode (Nuts) has also offered to ship a copy of Bioshock 2 to one of those who donates before its release date of Feb. 9th. On behalf of the staff here I'd like to thank him a great deal for doing so. So if you want Bioshock 2 just make sure your name shows up on the list of those who donated, and you'll be "in the drawing" (Though for all we know he'll choose the winner based on some arbitrary old man formula, like who's name he forgets last or whichever one is easier to read without needing to be magnified).

If you have any questions or concerns don't hesitate to post!

For those of you who are interested all proceeds we do raise will be funneled directly back into the community. We'll begin running giveaways and other contests routinely (and they'll be open to everyone!), however to start this we need the money to begin!

At the end of February, if we've reached our goal, and we should as this first goal is rather small ($25), I will be rewarding the best news submitter with a $10 Amazon Gift Certificate, I will also award a second person with a $10 through a giveaway (most likely a "post in this thread to enter" type thing). When we raise money, we'll continue to hold these contests. Remember to let everyone you know about our contests, anyone is open to enter, including newly registered members!

Arcade Update Successful
Jan 28, 2010 - 11:04 PM

Arcade Update Successful

The Arcade has been updated to the latest version and has been supplemented with nearly 60 news games, including Desktop Tower Defense, Bloons, and more! Scores were not reset as was previously warned, so rest assured your current leads are intact.

There are a minor problem with the update which reset some of the graphics to the default corny ones, I have to pull out one of my older backups to restore them, but it's such a minor thing that I decided to leave the arcade as is.

If you have any games you'd like to see in our arcade, don't hesitate to ask for them!

Please Note: Some games that were added to the Arcade are not scoring games. Effort was made to pick fun games, rather than limit them to scoring only.
